i looked on the dnr website and it dosnt really explain it and i was wondering when you can take a doe i wanna buck but really wanna doe so if some one could tell me that would be awesomeWhen does the deer rifle season start in west virginia?
WV Buck Only season (rifle season) starts on November 23, 2009 through to December 5, 2009. Antlerless season is very hard to spell out here due to the various counties or parts thereof that have a season.

In select counties, where they have unlimited doe permits, you can purchase your class N stamp, before season opens, and harvest a doe on private land only the first two days (November 23 and 24), then from November 25 to December 12 on private and public lands. A one week anterless only season runs from December 7 through to December 12, 2009 in select counties. In those counties with a over population of deer, you can take as many as four (4) does, but that is only in select counties. You can buy additional stamps during that time in those counties. The link below should help you understand it, the page lets you see which counties have unlimited doe permits available. Some counties were by lottery system only, for example Fayette County was a lottery system where you had to fill out an application mail it before the end of August and hope you got drawn. The DNR was only issuing 200 permits to residents only in Fayette County.
