What kind of vegetables can I plant that the deer won't like to nibble on?

I too have this problem. The answer....there isn't any. Deer will eat anything...given the opportunity. We take Irish Spring soap, the original stuff, cut it into blocks, about 6 per bar, and stuff them into knee high stockings. We then hang these around the plants we want to keep. They seem to really dislike the smell. So far, about three years now, it has worked about 80%.What kind of vegetables can I plant that the deer won't like to nibble on?
Anything you plant will attract something to eat it be it deer, rabbits, birds, gophers etc... If deer are nibbling you will have to:

Have a dog or build a fence high enough so it can't jump over and strong enough to keep them out.

Deer can jump over fences and knock them down

Rabbits can and will jump over fences or dig under them

Birds will dig with their claws and beaks to get to veggies

Gophers will burrow as much as 10 feet down to get into gardens.

So again the only options you really have are to:

1) build a fence

2) have coverings over the garden

3) have a dog

4) plant extra veggies at different locales so that you have 'sacrificial' plants and still have some for youWhat kind of vegetables can I plant that the deer won't like to nibble on?
I've got the same problem with both deer and rabbits. They eat everything!

The only way I can grow veggies is to put them in pots on our deck. I'm trying the hanging tomato plant for the first time this year, I'm hoping that works.

My father in law has a large garden, surrounded by an 8 foot mesh fence he concocted, it's been working great at keeping the deer out.
Probably not much. There are some deterrent chemicals you might try. I big, fast dog would also be nice.

I'm sitting here looking up at six big whitetails on the wall that haven't bothered crops for a few years and my family had veggies with them for quite awhile. If your PETA, sorry. It's sound wildlife management where I live.
What you need to deter the deer is wolf or coyote urine. Both are equally effective as a deterrent and keep other pests and rodents away as well. They can be purchased online (just google for different sites) or at some specialty garden stores.
Deer will eat all veggies. Most garden shops will have cheap fencing. All you need is a staple gun and tall stakes.
