etc.....What is the best hunting rifle for deer hunting and boar?
I have lots of rifles for deer and hog hunting, and I can tell you with confidence that the best rifle is the one I started to take, changed my mind, and put down just before I picked up the one I'm hunting with.

There are plenty of adequate calibers. None is perfect, and when you are familiar with them, you can make a good choice with little difficulty. A more difficult choice is the rifle to put it in. One of the best for hogs, and for deer in close cover, is one that an old classmate of mine has: a double rifle (side-by-side) in 8x57 JRS. It isn't the best choice for deer in open areas where shots might be long, but if you have an extra five or six thousand dollars to spend, that's a great rig to consider. Likewise, if you're really mad at the hogs or badly need to thin them out, a lever gun will give you the firepower to drop several at once. I've dropped five in a matter of a few seconds with a Winchester model 71 (348 Winchester caliber). Again, it's not a long-range shooter.

Bolt actions are most popular, and whether you want a full-size rifle or a shorter ';mountain rifle'; or carbine is going to be determined by where you hunt.

A few comments on your list: you should be careful about abbreviations. 7mm is a good bore, but what you're thinking of and what I'm thinking of may be a lot different. There are lots of cartridges of that size. I wouldn't normally consider 7mm Waters, for instance, but Ken Waters isn't a fool, and I'm sure he'd disagree. I like 7mm08 and 7x57 Mauser very much for deer and hogs and don't have much use for 280 Remington or any of the various 7mm Magnums, but I have buddies who swear by them, and I can see why the favorite ';beanfield rifle'; chambering in South Carolina is the 280 Ackley Improved. I don't think you're likely to find a rifle in any of the old 9mm chamberings, though a 9x57 would be a good short-to-medium-range chambering. Pistol calibers like 9mm Parabellum are grossly inadequate. 9.3x62 is a bit much, but is a popular European choice for boar (and 9.3x64 may loosen a few fillings but you won't be accused of being undergunned!). 30-06 is also more than you need but there's nothing wrong with that at all. 243 Winchester is a bit on the light side, and you'll have to be picky with your shots, but if you're up to the challenge it'll certainly do, though it's really better in its role as a varminter. 270 Winchester is a good choice, especially if you primarily hunt deer in open areas, and 270 WSM will do anything the older cartridge will, but its future is uncertain and might not be a good choice if you're relying on factory cartridges, which may not always be available. What is the best hunting rifle for deer hunting and boar?
.308
Sauer and Sohn Drilling 16/70, 7x65R, Scope Zeiss 3-12x56
7mm- too small

9mm- too small

30-06- will rip through and destroy the animal- meant for maximum damage, cause its a millitary round

.243- fine i guess

270- fine i guess

* i say use a 30-30, it is accurate, and packs enough punch
The best choice for your purpose is the 30-06, because you have a greater variety of bullet weights to choose from, and it will harvest any game in North America cleanly.* When you have a 30-06 you don't need any other rifle.*
depends dont you have an older person to hunt with maybe ask a local hunter if you can go out with him call the local dept of fish and game the game warden why they know everything about hunting and fishing including where to get the big ones .. as for a gun if in brush with dogs i'd use a 30-06 in the field with a rest and a scope a 30-06 or a 30- 30 look up the remington model 70 its the sniper tool from Nam
everybody has a favorite. my choice is .270 winchester and has been for almost 25 years now. MW is qwrong about the 30-06 never being bested. My .270 with a 150 grain sierra Spitzer bullet will shoot farther, flatter and faster than his '06 with a 160 grain bullett. Not to say the '06 isn't a great gun, because it is. But it's not THE best choice. I used one before I found the .270 to be better for anything but the big bears. I have taken plenty of black bears with it though.
THE 30-06 HAS NEVER BEEN IMPROVED UPON FOR OVERALL MAXIMIZATION OF RANGE, WEIGHT AND STOPPING POWER. THIS IS THE REASON THAT THIS CALIBER, PROJECTILE WEIGHT AND LOAD COMBINATION HAS SURVIVED IN POPULARITY SINCE 1906. IN A COMBINE ASSESSMENT IT HAS NEVER BEEN EXCEEDED IN OVERALL PERFORMANCE.
The best gun is one that you can shoot and hit the target with. For boars, if you are meaning 9mm pistol round, that is not one that I would suggest. For the 7mm any of the rifle 7-08, 7 mag all work just fine. .243 work for body shots, but the are also really good with head shots on hogs. 30/30 is another great round for both. What I carry would all depend on the type of hunting I was doing, if I was in a stand and I knew that the ranges were going to be 100 yards or so I would take a 30/30 or a 30-06, if I was brush hunting then a lever gun in .44 mag or 45/70.
The best deer rifle caliber in my opinion is the .308 Winchester. All the calibers you have listed will work although the 9mm should not be used for animals that large. If you are looking for a good rifle then the bolt action is the best.
30-06 for most general ranges and environments

460 weatherby magnum...use enough gun!!!
Get a 30-06. It has taken everything on North American soil, you can get factory ammo almost everywhere, very accurate, very deadly.

You won't be sorry.

If you must stray away from my advice and get something else... get a 7mm-08. That would be ideal for hogs and deer... but nothing bigger.
30-06 pronouced thirty ought six all the power youll need and capable of putting a deer down at 300+yards. We use them for dear but we hunt boar with 12 guage shotguns with high base slugs, since they stay in the brush and we rarely get a chance for a distant shot
Look you got to find what works best for you.

You want little kick with knock down power and medium range then .243 will work.

You want to hunt long distances 100-1000 yards you can use .270 with little kick. A 308 with more kick harder punch but a short action. A 30-06 with more kick harder punch and long action.

All are very very good rifles and will do all the things you want it to do. If you want a all round gun to do both medium to short distance with knock down power. Open sights will be best. Especially if you want to boar hunt in brush and deer in trees. Then you should look at a 30-30. Light weight, short, easy to carry, you can even put a scope on it for longer shots.

Just figure out what you want it to do and what would best suit your needs. Remember the longer the barrel the heavier the rifle the longer distance it will shoot more accurately.*
i use my 30-06 bolt action if im in a stand or a good hiding spot. But because I have a tendency to piss boar and their buddies off I prefer my SKS, its semi-auto and shoots the 7.62X39 round like the ak-47. I use the 154 gr soft points and can get fast follow up shots in case something happens. I personally like my brother's m-14 in .308. And for deer I use a 30-06
I'll use anyone of the guns I have including my shotguns.

.308 , .270, .243, 44 mag pistol, Model 870 12ga slugs or buck, model 1100 12 ga slug or buck.
.308 winchester. prefer ruger rifle. it will cut the brush to ur hogs, and is awesome medium range. If ur hunting in wide open consider something with better long distance...300 winchester mag.
DONT KILL ANIMALS!!!!!
