Do i need to go on antibiotics for a deer tick bit?

i found a tick on my leg this morning. it was only attached for a couple of hours at the most. do i have to start a course of antibiotics? the bite site is not very irritated and it does not hurt. Do i need to go on antibiotics for a deer tick bit?
Not necessarily, watch it for a day or two as long as the area doesn't turn red or swell.you should be fine. Also watch for any type of rash in the area.if you get a rash ,swelling or reddness of the area then see your doctor about treatment.Do i need to go on antibiotics for a deer tick bit?
I would consider seeing a doctor. Tick bites can cause Lyme disease, which can be serious, especially if untreated.

Lyme disease is terrible!

I would go on a precautionary course of antibiotics just in case...it may prevent lyme from taking hold.........

If you get a BULLSEYE type rash or any circular type of rash around it, or redness, get to a doctor quickly this is a sign of the lyme disease....
