What is the head of a pack of deer called?

I've probably got the words all wrong, like groups of deer aren't called packs and all that, but what is the leader of deer called, like the head male. I know that in Bambi its like the king or whatever but im preeetty sure thats not quite right...

thank you in advanceWhat is the head of a pack of deer called?
first its a herd and it is called the dominant buckWhat is the head of a pack of deer called?
He's called trophy.

Deer don't travel in families like that. The largest and most powerful bucks will mate more often and have more offspring, but they do not act as head of the herd. Adult bucks travel alone. Does travel with their offspring, sometimes even with their grandchildren.
